Rome Timeless Beauty - A Photo Series

For a city that deserves silence only, a series of postcards with no context, mute in front of the human kind in all its forms. Rome shows itself in timeless and immutable images that belong to every or any era, where monuments act for an audience made of absent spectators.

This series, entirely shot on film by Evelin Mazzaro, captures another side of the chaotic Italian capital - its eeriness and timelessness. Marble statues and monuments look suspended in time against the crispy and clear sky. The grain and subjects make these photos look eternal, just like the city they have been shot in. Are they retrieved stills took on a family trip some 50 years ago or have they just been shot? You can’t tell, that’s their enigmatic beauty.
